Four Reason To Get In On The Lamar Jackson Kaboom! Drop

Tomorrow, on Thursday 11/11/21 at 1pm EST / 10am PST, we are dropping our first Kaboom! ever.

This is exciting for several reasons, including the fact that it is a 2018 Panini Kaboom! #34 Lamar Jackson PSA 10. Lamar, a former (and maybe future?) MVP, has his Ravens sitting at 6-2 and looking like a contender.

Other than that, the excitement lies in the fact that it is the first Kaboom drop.

We like to think of drops on the Dibbs platform as an event. Something people get excited for - something people make sure they don’t forget the details of so they are sure to be on time.

Naturally, some are bigger than others. This is a big one.

Let’s get into the 4 reasons everyone should want in on this drop.

“You’re seeing a player that never played in the NFL,” Chargers coach Brandon Staley said. “There have been some guys similar, but there hasn’t been anybody like Lamar Jackson.”

1. It’s a breath of fresh air into the land of inserts

Let’s be honest, the Kaboom design is incredible, especially when comparing it to other inserts. They are bright, they are loud, and they are fun.

Quite simply, they make for exciting cards that anyone would want to show off to their friends.

2. They are rare, and hard to pull

Kaboom! Inserts are ultra rare, at just one per hobby case. The odds of hitting one are slim, which makes it that much better when you do.

3. They have risen in popularity, but the exclusivity has remained

To add on to number 2, this is important. While people have proven to love kaboom cards, manufacturers have not overproduced them as a result.

Creating this chase and exclusivity is vital to maintaining the value.

4. Lamar Jackson.

Where do we start. The former MVP has his Baltimore Ravens sitting at 6-2, looking like a real title contender.

Jackson himself, might soon be the frontrunner for the MVP award if he keeps playing this way. As usual, he has been dominant running the football, well on his way to another 1,000 yard season.

But Jackson has also been much improved as a thrower. Plus, he has led multiple comebacks already this season, the thing so many of his critics said he couldn't do.

We'll see you there, at 10am PST / 1pm EST tomorrow.
